Green Roof Rhapsody by Amanda LangDescription: Cobbled together from rustic cedar timber and oak veneer plywood, the green roof adds a touch of whimsy. The decorative piece (a series of small purple pads) along the front is from the family piano that had been taken apart piece by piece - each part eventually finding a new home, a new life. Deciding to add that piece sealed the decision to use an ebony stain on the oak faces.
The 2" opening would allow for Purple Martins to nest inside, but Swallows may also take up residence. Or it could just be left as a decorative piece. Bio: Amanda and her father Terry Lang have been building things together since she could hold her toy plastic hammer, so this tirned out to be a fun Father's Day weekend project. Amanda is a practicing Landscape Architect at a small firm here in Regina. Opening Bid: $150Current Bid: |
